The Structural Stability Research Council is dedicated to education and training related to the stability of steel and steel-concrete composite structures. The virtuous cycle of advancing stability research and improving the methods for engineers to employ in design is only complete when (a) engineers are educated and enabled to utilize the new advances and (b) when a new generation of researchers and engineers is trained to advance stability research. As a result, the educational programs of SSRC span from undergraduate and graduate students through practicing engineers. For practicing engineers continuing education credits (e.g. PDH’s) are provided when appropriate. Four educational efforts are highlighted here:
